Cabarrus Brewing celebrates 10 years of 49er football

In 2021, Cabarrus Brewing Company introduced Gold Rush Lager and it quickly became a local favorite. To recognize a decade of Charlotte 49er football, Cabarrus recently rolled out a new can design that can be enjoyed in time for Niner Nation Week: Homecoming 2023. Jason McKnight, a proud 49er alum and Cabarrus Brewing’s founding partner and brewer, couldn’t be more excited. “Cabarrus Brewing Company has been a proud supporter of Charlotte Athletics for quite some time,” McKnight said. “The university and its community are deeply tied to what we do and who we are as a company.”

Gold Rush is a crisp golden lager, ideal for fall game days. Made from local malts and grains, this brew carries a 4.9% alcohol content, a nod to the Charlotte 49ers themselves. The refreshed can design, courtesy of talented alum Justin Moore ’05, is a work of art. One side features a determined gold miner wielding a pickaxe against a shimmering gold backdrop, while the iconic All-In-C logo graces the other side. It’s a visual tribute to a decade of relentless dedication and perseverance.

Gold Rush Gold Lager is sold in four-packs of 16-ounce cans at Harris Teeter locations throughout the city, perfect for sharing with friends or savoring solo.
